The amazing fitness guru, Jack LaLanne once said, “If it tastes good, spit it out.” But In this instance, I have to disagree. Eating healthy doesn’t “have to” taste awful!
If your little one is like mine, trying to keep enough calories going in to make up for all the energy constantly being expending by activity and growth spurts is a challenge!
Mine really likes strawberry shakes!!! But I don’t like pumping up on all the sugar (and the junk in ice cream if you can’t find simple organic ice cream) so I tried something, and it works!!!
Grass-fed organic whole (or any kind) milk and frozen organic strawberries (lots). (Or any frozen fruit will work.)
If you just “have to” sweeten (my little one doesn’t like it to be sweetened), add just a touch of organic maple syrup (a better choice than just sugar).
Blend them up.
Voila!
Calories that taste good AND are healthy. 😁
(The frozen strawberries freeze the milk so no need for “ice cream” as the frozen fruit and milk make your own natural organic ‘“Iced cream”.)
Yummy!!! 😋
