Election year, census, COVID, riots… It’s been a year full of life-impacting changes and a time to reflect on what’s important, to re-prioritize, to re-connect with both God and our families.
Children grow up sooooo quickly!
We must not allow ourselves to get so caught up in the pursuit of money and trying to stay afloat during all these crises that we loose this time with our kids.
Even if it’s a chunk here and there throughout the day, they deserve our time.
An hour won’t ruin us.
Kids NEED their parents, especially during such uncertain times.
This is our time as parents, not to leave our kids to raise themselves, but to renew our leadership in their lives, to instill in them Godly purpose and Christ’s peace, to exemplify refining our focus on God. It’s a perfect time to read the Bible with them and answer questions about God’s word, to set the course for them to follow, not just now but for years and possibly their life to come.
Many are looking forward to things “returning to normal”. Yet that may never be the case again.
And even if it is, it is my prayer that we all have used this time to create a better “normal” than before.
Be their heroes, dawning the armor of God.
Amen! 😇
Amen! Amidst the “bad”, there has also been much good: more parents staying home with their children is one of them. Romans 8:28 comes to mind. God is good! 😇
