“Esther” Made Her Debut!!!

I finally did it! I finally e-Published one of my children’s books! Up until now, I distributed only privately (to family members). Beginning with this book, they will be available to everyone!

This first book, Esther: The Brave Girl Who Became Queen”, is a summarized simplified overview of the book of Esther.

Little ones (and sometimes us big ones 🤣) have short attention spans. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t know the amazing stories in the Bible. Stories about individuals who acted heroically and had awesome character qualities.

I wanted to instill in my little one the virtuous character traits of historical “normal” every day people. People who did amazing things and had incredible attributes to model and look up to.

I began writing these simple stories for a few reasons…

I noticed heroes today (even fictional ones) are usually tainted with unheroic qualities (sex, nudity, sometimes language, etc.). This sends a confusing message to our kids…and adults.

It was time I sought out heroes with good morals who were virtuous and maintained great integrity. Heroes that really could be looked up to. Heroes who exemplified the wholesome character qualities I was trying to instill in my child.

I also noticed it was difficult to read long detailed stories to a short attention span.

Where to begin?..

Knowing how difficult it is to capture a little one’s attention long enough to finish a story, some stories with great heroes and heroines, wonderful lessons and morals, encouragement and good character reinforcements, needed to be simplified. I began with Biblical stories. I began with Esther.

In this book, Esther faces some huge events. These events have placed her in a position where she can make a difference…or stay silent. Will she live by fear? Or will she choose the kind of courage that decides to act in spite of the fear?

Her decision had a huge ongoing impact on the lives of countless people!!

So, pull up a chair! Pull up a little one (if you have one 😄) and begin the historic adventure into a long ago time in an ancient land!
