I often fry food. (Yes, I realize that’s not the healthiest thing to do, but I do try to use organic oils like EVOO and avocado.) I keep the lid on so it won’t splatter oil all over everything, yet I like crispy food so I went and bought a skillet screen. Well, it came in a twin pack.. I thought, “Why do I need two??”
Fast Forward to Summer…
Summer came and I put up a blow up pool for our Little Blessing. They’re great, but of course, they come with no filtering system so they get all kinds of debris in them: off of feet, from the breeze and trees, bugs, you name it. For a small pool, I could not justify buying a large pool skimmer…then I remembered that twin pack of skillet screens.
The lightbulb turned on!
The skillet screens make GREAT kiddy pool skimmers!
Need an Inexpensive Pool Cover, Too?
And heavy gauge plastic that comes in rolls at home improvement store works great for a pool cover. Just cut it to size and make sure to leave plenty of length and width. That way you can tuck the ends under the edges of the pool just like you’re tucking in a sheet under a mattress.
Cool! Good hints. Thank you! 😄
